As has been widely reported, and corroborated by the former New England Patriot, Tom Brady will not be suiting up for the Las Vegas Raiders, or any other NFL Team this year, or any year, for that matter. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, he simply said “I’m certain I’m not playing again.” This, as he attempted to stress his commitment to broadcasting for Fox, and spending more time with his kids.
All of this was triggered by revelations of a failed physical by newly acquired QB Jimmy Garroppolo and the uncertainty that comes with it. His contract, which was altered at the last minute, gives the Raiders an “out” clause if he’s not ready for the start of the season.
When Raider fans and NFL fans, alike, heard about Tom Brady’s possible ownership status with the Las Vegas team, it seemed like the logical next step that Brady would become the first owner-player of the modern NFL. But, alas, those rumors were short-lived.
