There were plenty of frustrating moments in the 2022 Season for the Las Vegas Raiders as a team, and for players on an individual basis, as well. No other action taken during the season more fully epitomized the level of frustration than Davante Adams shoving a cameraman out of the way, and onto the ground at the end of a 30-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. For his part, Adams acknowledged the incident, and apologized for his behavior after the game, and later on social media.
“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game,” Adams said on Twitter. “Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran infront of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. Thats not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this.”
The freelancer who was identified as the victim, Ryan Zebley, did not accept this apology. He immediately filed a civil suit against Adams, and the Raiders and Chiefs organizations. That case is still pending.
As far as the criminal case concerned, though, Kansas City prosecutors have declared the case closed. All charges have been dropped, and they do not expect to re-open any kind of investigation into the matter.
